Trying to enable web-authentication using LDAP on the WLC - 5500 controller (software version: 7.6.110.0). Getting following error message. Have already restarted the controller but the issue persists:

*ewmwebWebauth1: Jul 24 14:11:40.408: #LOG-3-Q_IND: ldap_db.c:1063 Could not connect to LDAP server 1, reason: 1001 (LDAP init failed).[...It occurred 2 times.!]
*LDAP DB Task 1: Jul 24 14:11:40.396: #AAA-3-LDAP_CONNECT_SERVER_FAILED: ldap_db.c:1063 Could not connect to LDAP server 1, reason: 1001 (LDAP init failed).
I am trying to achieve 2 factor authentication:
Layer 2 - password to connect the network
Layer 3 - web authentication using LDAP credentials
Let me know how to solve the error.
