This article states that using the AP as a local RADIUS server is only possible assuming there is only 1 VLAN. Is this still true?
Also, is it possible to have the AP route?
Thanks

The RADIUS server can be anywhere in the network depending on the avaialable bandwidth, redundancy etc. No matter what VLAN the 802.1x authentication is from, the AP communicates with the RADIUS server using its Native VLAN (since that's the only VLAN the AP actually has an IP address in).
