LWAP automatically changed to disabled admin status

Hello, everyone,

We have two wireless controllers installed in HQ and couple of lightweight wireless APs installed in remote sites. These wireless APs are running HREAP mode.

We experienced WAN bouncing in remote site couple days ago. After WAN circuit is stable, these LWAPs in remote site register back to WLC in HQ. But the admin status of these LWAPs were changed to disabled. After manually change admin status back to enable, the WLAN service is restored. more No have ideal why these LWAPs entered disabled admin status.

Do anyone face the same issue or have any idea why these LWAP will be changed to disabled admin status after bouncing WAN event? Thanks.

What code are you running on the WLC and what model WLC and AP? I have seen this in the past and I would just use WCS/NCS or PI to enable the AP status or write a script to admin up all the AP's. Typically I have seen the vlan mappings change not too much of the admin down.

The WLC is AIR-CT5508-K9 running version 7.0.116. The AP is AIR-LAP1131AG-N-K9.

Is the same issue got solved in new WLC 5508 software version?

It can be an issue with the code. Maybe just upgrade to the latest 7.0.x.
