MAC filter and 802.1x auth

Hi

Costumer of mine will use for his Voice over WLAN (7921G) Infrastruktur a double authentication with MAC Filter (on Controller) and 802.1x (Eap-fast). Is this recommended for Voice implementation?

I have testet it and it works with my notebook, but how will the voice performe??

anyone try before?

No, mac filter won't cause any issue. make sure to have this config on all wlc where the handset potentially can roam.

check 7921g deployment guide for best practices.

MAC Filter and Eap-Fast works but not recommended.

Cisco recommends 802.1X + WPA2 AES +  CCKM for both Fast & Secure Roaming.
