Hi,
We are currently looking into deploying a guest network across our site. We have all of our AP's assigned to different groups with a different WLAN profile (ID's >16) allocated to each group.
Our configuration consists of two 5508 foreign controllers in HA and two independent 5508 anchor controllers.
We have configured the profiles on both foreign and anchor controllers:
ID |
Profile Name |
17 |
GUEST_Corridors |
18 |
GUEST_Ward_Areas |
19 |
GUEST_Outpatients |
20 |
GUEST_Emergency |
21 |
GUEST_Surgical |
All of the profiles have the same SSID. The configuration works in the sense that users can connect to the wireless and get IP Address etc.
However, I am finding that when the connection passes to the anchor controller, it will always use the first profile it finds based on SSID.
Does this do this by design?
The aim of this is to allow the external authentications to identify the areas which the client connected.
Thanks,
