No ethernet interface 9800CL deployment in Vmware workstation

Hello,
I am trying to deploy 9800CL in Vmware workstation Pro but it does create ethernet interfaces once the image loads. I have tried various ISO's from cisco's 9800 website but no luck. Am I missing anything ? Thanks for help.
E.g ISO which I am using - C9800-CL-universalk9.16.12.04a.

You can do it by GUI, way much easier.

Shutdown the VM

Go to Edit virtual machine settings

Add Network Adapter.

Go to VMX file as stated above and change the parameters as below

ethernet1.virtualDev = "vmxnet3"

Open the VMX file under your VM directory in Notepad (C:\Users\<USername>\Documents\Virtual Machines\<VM Name>)

Change the below parameter

ethernet0.virtualDev = "e1000" from ethernet0.virtualDev = "vmxnet3"

Then save the file. Restart the VM.

VMWare workstation is not officially supported, so unless you are trying to LAB something I would rule out deploying it in Workstation.

Thanks Arshadsaf. That worked.
Yes I am deploying the 9800cl in test environment inside workstation Pro. I am using Gigabithernet1 for out of band management. How can I add another interface ( Gigabitehernet2) for Wireless management network by modifying VMX file ?

Appreciate your help!
