Problem with Cisco any connect: how to connect the vpn to a usb-wifi?

I have correctly install Cisco anyconnect VPN on my MAC, but when I tried to connect it says  "Connection attempt has timed out.  Please verify Internet connectivity."

I believe that is because I am using an external USB-wifi, because my original wifi hardward does not work anymore. Any idea on how to connect the vpn to this external usb-wifi generator? 

 

I have a MAC with Mojave 10.14.6

Your problem is either a MAC-OS question or a Cisco anyconnect VPN application question - neither of which is a wireless topic. You might get lucky and somebody happens to know the answer but I think you'll have more luck posting in more appropriate forums instead of here.
