Hi
Does anyone know if the AP600 and 5508 supports a redundant controller option. Office extend is a crutial part of the business for my customer, and they are now looking to have a redundant controller in the DMZ is this possible.
Thanks in advance

What do you actually mean with redundant Controller ?
Yes you can have an extra controller that will act as fall back if the other dies, but the transition is not seemless, there's a small disconnection, the time for all APs to register to the other WLC

As Nick pointed out ... YES
Once the ap connects to the controller it will down load the mobility groups learning about the other controllers in the group. ALSO, once the ap joins you can put in first, second and third controllers in for its join process. See below

Hi Gents
Thanks for your response.
I am aware of the Cisco offering for a local AP and defining redundant controllers. However this is for the office extend solution where the AP600 is plug into an ADSL router and routes its CAPWAP traffic to a NATed address on the controller.
Would you define the NAT'ed address within the High Availability section of the AP?
Thanks

If you have 2 DMZ controllers you would have 2 outisde NATs. You would use the outside address in the first and second.

Hi,
it is not possible due to the firmware limitation but in next few days OEAP supported 3G card so you can get the local Internet redundancy. for controller you have to change manually Public IP add in OEAP until & unless the Firmware not upgrade of OEAP. (right Now it is not possible)
