Is it right, that I could configure only on the root the broadcast-key and not on the Non-Root?
The same story with the radio-channel?
Could anybody confirm this?
any input is very welcome

Yes, you can configure broadcast key rotation and radio channel on AP or root bridge.
Non-root bridge is an infrastructure client. It is no different than a normal wireless clients, in terms of broadcast key rotation and radio channel. Non-root bridge listens to the beacons from the root bridge and determine the radio channel.
The supplicant in the non-root bridge use LEAP or WPA-PSK to authenticate against the root bridge. The root bridge determines the broadcast key rotation settings.
