Storm control issue:

Can we have more information on Storm control. we configured switch port with follwing commands,

storm-control broadcast level bps 5m

storm-control multicast level bps 5m

storm-control action shutdown.

Due to action, the port receivies higher broadcast packet puts port into shutdown mode. is it so? does client sent more broadcast packet ??

Yes, if the port recieve broadcast storm it will turn port into shutdown mode.
