New install of Cisco Prime infrastructure 1.3 (1.3.0.20)
We have notice that all the devices are spilling out the FQDN if the device has the domain name added in global.
ie: device.domain.corp
Anyone know how to remove this information, to truncate it out of the views persay. Like most organisations our hostnames are structured to use the hostname to provide location and devices details. The additional domain information should be an opt out function.
The reason we keep this in as it is used for comfiguration compliance globally, but usually for a catch-all for cisco ap discovery.
This is not something to assign effort and resources to removing when it the main outcome is to clean up visual information on dashboards.
