I am trying to establish a console connection with an ASR9000V for initial configuration. I have obtained a USB->MicroUSB console cable and have downloaded the usbconsole_3.1 drivers from the Cisco website. After installing the driver and then plugging in the cable, the PC never recognizes the 9000v. I have tried multiple PCs and multiple cables and even a different 9000v. Is there something I am missing?

The Cisco ASR 9000v and Cisco ASR 9000v-V2 operate as an extension shelf of the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
=> I suppose this is not a stand-alone device, but need to be connected to (and managed from) a Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
