vWLC 8.6 or later support for AP local monitor mode

Does vWLC 8.6 or later support APs in local monitor mode? Early versions of the code (7.x) specifically state that APs in Local monitor mode are not supported. Current versions of the vWLC do not state either way in the documentation if this is supported now.

I got a vWLC running 8.2.151.0 and I was able to get a 2802 AP in monitor mode.

It is detecting Rogues and providing CleanAir data so it is working and should work on any newer version.

I would say No.

In AireOS 8.8 release notes it states, local mode AP is not supported

If you're talking about Local mode + Submode wIPS, as Rasika said, is not supported.

But - AP Mode = Monitor (Do not serve clients) is working on my lab.
