Problem: Two people working on the same WCS created the same building with different names. One building has two floors and the other has two floors. Rather then delete and start over is there a way to move a floor to a different building? Or is deleting and recreating the only option (a pain since mulitple APs have already been placed)

We will have to delete and recreate. You can add buildings to the Cisco WCS database regardless of whether you have added campus maps to the database. Refer to the URL http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/ps6305/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00806b72da.html#wp1077224 for more information.

What you can do is go to the maps section, properties, and then export the AP placements. This gets saved in CSV form.
Then, delete everything but the APs in question. Change the building & floor name from X to Y (Y being where you want it to be), and then import this file. WCS will move the APs to the new position. You have to upload the floor maps, and give the floors the same dimensions, but this saves you the trouble of re-positioning the APs.
