I've been working with the WCS Planning Tool to better understand how to use it. Most of my building are made with centiblock or sheetrock walls. I was using the Heavy Walls for the centiblock and the Light Walls for sheetrock, but it doesn't seem right. I have other buildings and I don't need as many APs as the tool shows. Is there a best practice for what wall types to use for which walls in the planning tool?

The map editor using the walls is more for determining the RF prediction for the floor space. The planning mode algorithm seems to over predict but a site survey should definitely pare that down some. If you change from aggressive ( less APs ) to Very Safe ( more APs ) you will see the number of APs change dramatically.

I was able to gather that from working with the tool. I was just curious what the standard was for using wall types and materials (if there is one). Maybe it doesn't matter at all.
