What happens if WLC 2504 and RootAP bridge lose connection

Hi

I have some questions about a wireless setup.

I have a wireless lan controller 2504 and have two wireless cisco 1562's

The Wireless Lan controller is on firmware 8.5 along with the WAPs.

I will be connecting the WAPs, one as a RootAP and the other as a Mesh AP, to create a bridge across two buildings.

They will both be connected to switches which go through links to the Lan controller.

What happens if the RootAP and MeshAP lose connection to the WLC 2504?

Will they both keep the current configuration and keep working for a number of days?

Or will the bridge be broken until the WLC 2504 is back up and online?

Regards

If you have traffic going through to the WLC, then the link would break. Really depends on how you have your setup and where the vlans reside.

Take a look at Flex/Bridge and see if the is something you can incorporate into your design.

Hi

So in regards to a bridge rootap to meshAP setup.

If I have a spare internet conneciton and another backup server doing dhcp and radius , If the wireless controller goes down would the bridge still work for a certain number of days or would it lose configuration settings?

Otherwise I will look into Flexconnect setup
