Hi guys,
Can some one explain me what is this service for ? I have the LIC-CT2504-UPG, with the LIC-CT2504-5A (5 AP licenses adder) and I don't understeand what are the SMARTNet services for this licenses ?
Are they needed if I already have the SMARTNet service for the hardware controller ?
Do these services provide something additional on top of the hardware service ?
Thank you.

Hi Sandeep,
I know what SMARTNet Service is. The question was if I can only buy service for the WLC, and not for the WLC upgrade license for the AP. Because, from my point of view if I have SMARTNet for the WLC (base unit), SMARTNet for the APs, the other one for the license upgrade is redundant.
For future use I found that in theory you have to buy all of the 3 cases listed up (WLC, APs, WLC lic upgrade) to be 100% safe, but in some cases TAC engineer don't ask for the WLC lic upgrade license SMARTNet.
Thank you.
