Windows breaks aironet 350 card for Linux usage

Hello,

I have a laptop with WinXP and Linux installed, last week, I update the drivers for the Cisco Aironet 350 cards from MS windows-update.

Now everytime I use a card on WinXP then it never works again under Linux.

Windows Aironet driver version is 8.3.10.0. On Linux I'm using the driver included with the kernel (version 2.4.20).

Any idea about what is going wrong?

When you used the card in the XP machine it will update the firmware on the card.

There are 3 parts to the software the ACU the driver and the firmware.

If you upgrade any one part then you need to do the other 2 parts.

I would update your linux driver/acu to the latest and try again
