Wireless Noobie question.

Hi Guys,

I don't have much experience with Cisco's wireless product range and I thought I'd start here.( I have experience in security and R&S though).

Anyway, I have a client how currently has a  Linksys/Cisco RouterWRT310N. They have an office with about 25 users. They are finding access through it extremely slow and are looking to upgrade to something better.

At the moment I'm looking at the AIR-LAP1252AG-A-K9 or the 3500. I don't know a lot about wireless solutions at the moment so any advice is appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hi,

I am not sure about the price of each device, but if that is not a concern i would go for the 3500.

The design is much more actractive, it is the latest hardware technology and it has the latest enhancement named "Clean Air technology":

You can also take a look at the FAQs:

HTH,

Tiago

For an office, the 1140 is better suited than the 1250. Smaller, consuming less power, can be fixed on ceiling, more discrete and integrated antennas.

What Tiago forgot to mention is that the 3500 requires a WLC (controller) to run while the 1140 (or even 1250) can run on IOS standalone without additional purchase.

Hope this helps.
