Hi,
I have deployed Cisco 1230AP units in our Office all on different channels far apart. Oddly - in the morning the signal is pretty strong (sometimes rarly this isnt the case) but in the afternoons it drops to a much lower stength? As far as I can tell there is no enviromental change.
Anyone have ideas or pointers ?
Thanks
Ed

When you refer to "signal strength", are you referring to RSSI or to SNR? If your SNR drops off, that could easily be due to interference. If it's your RSSI that's dropping, I can't think of anything that would cause that other than people moving physical objects around.

Hi,
Thanks - I used two tools one being Netstumbler and the SNR was around 52db sometimes dropping to 42db. RSSi seemed stable but it was fluturating alot. COuld it be something in my config to do with refresh time or amount of load ?
I have also tried a 9db aerial and a 5db aerial.
Thanks
Ed
