WLC 4400 upgrade

We have 4 controllers running on our network - three 4400 series & one 5508 model.

The 4400 controllers are on Software Version 7.0.250.0

The 5508 controller is on 8.0.120.0 and Field Recovery Image Version for this is 6.0.182.0

Could someone please tell me which are the 'latest' but 'non-buggy' software update versions for both of these WLC models. And is it a free download on cisco?

AP Environment - a mix of AIR-LAP1242AG-E-K9 ; AIR-LAP1252AG-E-K9 ; AIR-LAP1142N-E-K9 models.

Been having some internet slowness issues for some time now and just want to make sure that its not our WLCs that's causing the issues.

For 5508, go with this 8.0MR3 code, release notes as below.

For 4400, 7.0MR7 is the latest which you should go with

You need to have maintenance on your 5508 with Cisco in order to download software.
