WLC 5508 - Install Adder License in AP SSO Mode / Reboot by switchover

Hi everybody

As written in the configuration guide für WLC release 8.0 http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/8-0/configuration-guide/b_cg80.pdf, it is recommended to reboot the Controller after installing a license.

Because we've got a HA-Deployment, I thought I could prevent a wireless outtake by enter the command "redundancy force-switchover" to let the Primary Controller reboot.

Is this a good idea?

the redundancy force-switchover command on the Active WLC. This command will trigger a manual switchover where the Active WLC will reboot and the Standby WLC will take over the network. In this case, the client on the Active WLC will be de-authenticated and join back on the new Active WLC.which was the Standby WLC initially and is now the Active WLC after switchover. AP Up Time as well as Association Up Time is maintained, and the AP did not go in to the discovery state.
