WLC 9800 HA

Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue and would like to ask for assistance. I have two WLCs 9800, one located in Data Center 1 and the other in Data Center 2. Each WLC is connected via a portchannel to a 9500 switch, with the port configured in trunk mode to pass the VLANs of my SSIDs and the management VLAN. I also have a connection coming out of each WLC to the same switch, which serves as the Redundancy Port (RP) link.

In my tests, I've noticed that when I disconnect the RP link, a switchover occurs between the controllers. However, when I disconnect the portchannel, this doesn't happen. I followed the steps outlined in the Cisco guide diligently. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? I appreciate everyone's input.
