Just curious if anyone has tested this yet on Cisco WLC - If your DHCP leases are set to 4 hours on your DHCP server, and your reauthentication is set to 24 hours on your WLC, what happens if the client is authenticated but goes dark for say 6 hours?
Example, client reauthenticates (24 hours) - powers off device an hour later - leaves it off for 6 hours (DHCP lease expires) - powers device back on. Does the device still try to use the same address it had previously since it does not have to reauthenticate?
Is it best practice to have your DHCP lease longer than your reauth timeout? Or does it even matter?
Thanks
