Hi all,
I am going to uprade an ACI fabric from release 4.2(4i) to 5.3(2d).
I checked the release notes for APIC 5.3 (link) and I verified that my current CIMC version (4.0(1a)), although it is not the recommended, is in the list of the compatible ones.
I run the ACI-Pre-Upgrade-Validation-Script to check all the stuff, and I got 2 "FAIL - UPGRADE FAILURE!! "
1) about CIMC version
but 4.0(2f) is not in the list in the 5.3 rel notes link i posted..
I was asked to do the minimum necessary to upgrade, so I would not upgrade the CIMC if not manatory needed.
2) space
But i only have 4 images (2 for current version and 2 for target 5.3(2d)), so I cannot delete anything (I do not want to remove the images of the current release..). Btw, this partition I think that will not be involved in the upgrade...
What should I do?
Can I proceed with the upgrade, or not?
Thanks

ACI-Pre-Upgrade-Validation-Script is recommending you to have 4.0(2f). I would personally recommend to follow the recommendation [4.0(2f)]. But please do consult with Cisco Tac beforehand.

IMHO,
Please do open a SR and seek Cisco Tac's advice before any change.
Hope This Helps!!!
