Hello community,
On one of our clients ACI fabric I found two different faults regarding the FPGA and BIOS version mismatch.
For the FPGA there is a version (0x8) under the expected version (0x9).
On the first switch I start with the manual upgrade process:
/bin/check-fpga.sh FpGaDoWnGrAdE
....
This works fine w/o problems. After that I reload the switch on the GUI but still with the same FPGA versions(mismatch).
While reading the documentation I noticed the switch should be reloaded with the command (not sure if this command is different to the GUI reload command).
/usr/sbin/chassis-power-cycle.sh
But this produce the following message:
*** Running INXOS PE IFC image ***
test sse call id 545
sw card id is 354
Invalid or missing card type 36
Switchtype is N9K-C93240YC-FX2.
So problem still exist....;-)

Hi @udo.konstantin !
How are you!
I've never had any luck clearing FPGA faults manually. Best way to clear them, I have found, is to upgrade the fabric (usual fabric upgrade via the APICs).

Hi @Claudia de Luna ,
thanks I'm fine...hope you are also..;-)
Hopefully an upgrade will solve this Fault. I will try it on the next possible date.
Beste Regards

What are you supposed to do in the instance of NXOS to ACI conversion? This commonly happens during this process. You could do the conversion with an image a couple maintenance releases back from the fabric version, then do an upgrade via APIC post conversion, but it seems like there should be a better way.
