5.1.1 CM upgrade loss of AllWAASGroup Settings

We upgraded our Central Managers to 5.1.1a.  The appliances in the field are running 4.4.3b.  All devices belong to the AllWAASGroup. 

GOOD - All devices retained their group memberships (in the default allwaasgroup and in the custom groups). 

BAD - The AllWAASGroup settings however, are NOT being retained for the Acceleration Enable Features nor for Console Access.

BAD - The ability to enable SSH is in the console access and the setting is not retained after being pushed to all devices.

1) Disable SSH in the AllWAASGroup and force update to all devices in the group - that worked.

2) Wait one polling cycle and enable SSH in the AllWAASGroup and force the update to all devices in the group - that worked.

3) Wait one polling cycle again and then check the devices - SSH is NOT enabled anymore and that page says Select a Device Group.

Now, doing that same 'fix' for the Enabled Features in the AllWAASGroup configuration, DID work and was retained by the devices.

So, what is the fix to get ssh enabled in the AllWAASGroup and retained by the devices after the CM completes a polling cycle and disables ssh?

Update on this issue.

Engineering has now identified this as defect in the code:  CSCug40304

I'm going to test the workaround and will post if it is successful against the 150+ production WAAS.

I've requested to know which version will have a permanent fix.
