Can the 11050 ruin 0730005 software ?

HI,

no you can't run this image on a CSS11050 because the CSS1150x has a different processor architecture and so on.

The latest CSS11050 release is as far as I know 6.10.3.06s from 18-MAY-2004.

Btw the CSS11050 is an EOS product or even worse EOL (refer to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/ps789/ps790/index.html)

Thanks Joerg for the info. If you have a pair of content switches in failover mode can you upgrade the standby from 05 to 06 and then failover and upgrade the other, or should take them both offline and upgrade them.

what you can do is load the new version on both CSS.

Change the boot config to boot from the new version.

Then, indeed, you can start by just rebooting the standby.

If evertyhing looks good, reboot the primary.
