Policies

I have a question pertaining to how policies work on vservers on Cisco's CSM.

If I configure a vserver with a policy and the policy has an access-list (client-group) mapped to it which directs traffic to a specific serverfarm however all reals in that serverfarm go into failed probe state, will the CSM still try to forward traffic using the policy or will it use the default serverfarm??

Thanks,

Tony

once we have a match on the policy, we will try to use it.

If all servers are down, then the connection is dropped.

You need to configure a backup serverfarm inside the policy.

Gilles.

Kindly find some sample configuration example below:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2706/products_configuration_example09186a00801a649f.shtml

and

Cisco Content Switching Module

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2706/prod_configuration_examples_list.html

Hope these will be good for your understanding.

If Possible Plz rate.

Giles,

Thank you....that's what I was missing.

I'll add a backup serverfarm to each policy.
