SCSI DISK no more visible in CE-565 after

After a reboot of of a cisco content engine CE-565-K9 ,one of the 2 build-in SCSI hard disk was no more visible in the config. It was like he doesn't existed anymore.

After a replacement of the disk (IBM Xseries),everything came back but we have an error message in the config now which says:

BIOS Information:

Vendor : IBM

Version : -[PLEC52AUS-C.52]-

Rel. Date : 05/19/03

******************************************

You are using unsupported hardware.

******************************************

Everything works fine, the disk is ok and visible. But the message must dissapeare :)

Has it something to do with the firmware on the disk? How can i reveal the firmware in a content engine?

Which command?

We think that the spare disk who was delivered by Cisco has an older firmware then the original one.If so,they must send us one with at least the same firmware.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks,

Kurt

I guess that you are getting such error messages because you are running a older version of the firmware on the CE. You can upgrade the firmware on the CE to a latest version and check. Otherwise you will keep getting these error messages. But these errors doesnt mean that they will not work. The devices will still work...
