I put two WAE 674 in serial cluster inline, like official documentation available. When i power down both wae the link is down, hardware bypass is not working.
I Try change the speed of inline interface, but when i put no autosense and 1000Full Duplex, the waas say that cant change de speed. The autosense negotiate 10Mb Half Duplex. Iam runing the 4.2 Version and using straight cables (without cross over).
I need put serial cluster inline, the speed of principal link is 1Gbps, i need put the waas with 1Gbps too with HA in Hardware.
ROUTER ===STRAIGHT-1GB=====STRAIGHT-1GB=== SWITCH
ROUTER ===STRAIGHT-1GB=== WAAS ===STRAIGHT-1GB== WAAS ==STRAIGHT-1GB== SWITCH

Hi Luciano,
Thanks for the info.
It seems that there is no way to hard code the spped to 1000 full on an inline interface since there is an enhancement request to have this possibility added: http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCso14860
I'm not asking you to set the speed to Fast Ethernet but I would like you to try to cable your setup as if it was Fast Ethernet.
Since you don't have access to the link, here is the table:
Connection Required Cable
Switch to switch (no WAE) Crossover
Switch to router (no WAE) Straight-through
Router to router (no WAE) Crossover
Switch to WAE and WAE to Router Straight-through Crossover
Switch to WAE and WAE to Switch Straight-through Straight-through
Router to WAE and WAE to Router Straight-through Straight-through
WAE to WAE Crossover
Can you also try to hard code the speed to 1000 full on the host and on the switch you are using if possible?
Regards,
Nicolas

Hi Luciano,
As per Figure 12 of the following document: http://www.dell.com/content/topics/global.aspx/power/en/ps1q01_hernan?c=us&l=en&cs=555
The speed should be set to 1000 Full is everything is setup as Auto.
If you cannot change it on the host, maybe you can play a bit with the settings on the switch but I would definitively start by cabling your setup as show in my previous message and not with straight cables only.

Nicolas

Hi Luciano,
As per the following document: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/wae/installation/7341-7371/guide/7300inln.html#wp1038061
You should be able to use both crossover or straight cables for each connections if you plan to use Gigabit Ethernet,
Keep in mind that this isn't true for Fast Ethernet connections: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/app_ntwk_services/waas/wae/installation/7341-7371/guide/7300inln.html#wp1038136
Could you try to cable your setup as if it was FE and see if you get better results?
What is the error message that you get when you try to hardcode the speed on the inline interface to Gigabit?
What are the settings of the router/switch interface the WAEs are connected to?

Nicolas

I put the screenshot with the error. I cant use with Fast Ethernet, i need use with GigaBit and the hardware bypass (Serial Cluster Inline) need works fine.
For Hardware Bypass works, i need configure on router and switch the interface on 1Gbps?
In the test, i used one Laptop (AutoSense) and another side i used one switch EX2200 Juniper(AutoSense) too.
PS: Two url that you send me not works (FORBIDDEN)
Thanks
