Just want to find out what the default sticky bit timeout value is. I cannot seem to find it...I know how to change from the default...but what exactly is the default?

Thanks,

Brett

I found that there really is no timeout value...

Q. What is the default time an entry is kept in a sticky table?

A. There is no default time. The sticky table is kept on a FIFO basis (32 K of entries), or until the CSS is rebooted.

If this is the case, shouldn't I really put some sort of timeout value for the sticky bit. Maybe a few hours or something? Any ideas?

Brett

Hey Brett,

You can configure the sticky inact timeout command in the content rule.

The syntax is as follows.

sticky-inact-timeout 120

Here 120 is the number of minutes which the CSS will wait before removing the entry.

Regards,

Sagar

Hey Brett,

There is a small correction. Its number of idle minutes. So the statement will be.

"120 is the number of idle minutes which the CSS will wait before removing the entry"

Cheers!!

Sagar
