Can someone detail how console access is gained with the console kit to a laptop.

Good morning,
The process would be exactly the same as with any other Cisco device.
You first connect the cable, and then connect from Hyperterminal (or equivalent) using the settings below:
Bits per sec : 9600 Data bits : 8 Parity : none Stop bits : 1 Flow control : none
I hope this helps

Hi Daniel,
The Cisco WAE 7341 has a DB9 serial port connector for console cable. can you please let me know what type of cable does Cisco ship with a new WAE 7341 . In case if we donot have the standard console cable can we use DB9 to RJ-45 converter to connect the WAE with the PC.
Thanks in advance,
Ameen.

Hi Ameen,
The WAE7341 is shipped with the console cable that has DB9 on one side and the RJ45 on the other
You would need an RJ45 to DB9 connector and then you can connect this end to WAE and the other end which is the DB9 to your PC serial Port DB9 male. if your PC doesn't have a serial port but has a USB then you need a USB to Serial conveter as well.
Regards
Kiran.
