SPA112 ATA paired with D-Link AC1750 (DSL-2890AL) Modem/router

I'm trying to configure my recently purchased Cisco SPA112 ATA, paired with a D-Link AC1750 modem Router, to use the TPG VOIP Service.

I've had a number of telephone conversations with TPG Support, but they seem to have very limited knowledge of the hardware I am using and what I am attempting to do. Although strangely enough, at one stage I was able to make 'one' outgoing VOIP call to a mobile 4 nights ago, I have subsequently been unable to make or receive calls using VOIP.

Are you able to assist with supplying the correct configuration to set up the VOIP service with TPG?

Regards Stafford

Hello,

I hope you are doing well, my name is Jonathan and I am one of the Engineers here at Cisco's Small Bussines.

I apologize for any inconveniences with this unit, i would like to know some detail regarding your voip service,

-By any chance, do you know the type of service that you are using with TPG, the spa112 can work either with a proxy server or as well with a pbx.

-according to the notes you were able to make a call a few days ago, so i want to check if it was you the person who configured this phone as in order to make the call the unit must have been registered either to the proxy server or the pbx(provisioning service)

-do you have access to the graphical interface of the spa112, if you do please check if the unit is registered or not,

-do you get a dial tone on the unit, if not have you tested the 2 ports on the device, maybe another analog phone as well.

-do you know the firmware version on the spa112, if you can check it and verify below you will have the link so you can see if it is the latest version, if not i recommend to do the upgrade.

-i want to mention that if you have a proxy service, you should have a username and a password as well as the extension(phone number) otherwise the unit is most likely connecting to a provisioning server on TPG, so it is important to know this details.

-if you need further assistance please feel free to contact us .
