spa112 caller id Vs Pap2t

What is the difference in how the two devices provide caller id?  I have a customer with a edi s-series phone system.  The spa112 does not provide caller id, put a similar configed pap2t with the same numbers works.

Both devices provided cid to my dumb analog butt set.

On both devices I have CAller ID Method set to Bellcore (N.Amer,China)

Caller ID fsk standard to bell 202

Any idea what else to look at?

Try to check the ring cadence. In Italy must be 60(1/4).

If it doesn't work try to change the polarity of the line.

Sometimes works.
