Hello,
we downloaded the SDK Jabber and we have set up access to shared SANDBOX environment (https://developer.cisco.com/site/tech/communication-collaboration/jabber/jabberweb/develop-and-test/testing/shared-jabber-sandbox/).
We found two major problems:
- Huge performance problems in video call
- Difficult to implement an integration of this environment in an APP for mobile device (since you need to implement access to the VPN).
I wanted to know if it is possible to have, even for a limited time , or access to a more powerful environment Jabber.

Hi Oronzo,
First, thanks for requesting the shared sandbox.
Regarding to your question, the video quality depends on the speed of the connectivity and since it's shared, the bandwidth could sometimes get packed pretty soon. Since this shared sandbox is for development/experiment purpose, the Video quality won't be as good as the one for demonstration purpose.
For the mobile device, the current video/audio SDK is not designed for mobile device due to the need of plugin.
The alternative you can do are,
Hope this help.

Thank you Howard,
you are kind,
Just 2 questions for you if it possible:
1) Can I request dedicated sandbox with my forum account or it's necessary Cisco partner account ?
2) In a few days it will be presented in Milan Guest Cisco Jabber for iOS and Android.
Do you know when it will be possible to test the official SDK in test environnment ?

Oronzo,
I think you can, but you will need to sign up for another account for the use of dedicated lab. Please node the dedicated lab is a reservation based type of lab, meaning you will need to reserve a period of time in the use of the lab based on its availability.
There are Jabber for iOS/Android as a mobile client you can use, just no SDK interface.
There is another SDK in Jabber family calls Jabber Guest which has currently offer a EAP program that you might want to try out.
Thanks,
Howard

Thank you, Howard,
we have tried download Jabber Guest SDK, but without Cisco Unified Connection Manager ( demo closed 17 Jan) we can't do anything.
We will wait the official release of Cisco Jabber Guest
Thanks
Oronzo
