Jabber for Windows requires LN to close during install + Desktop reset

Hi!

We are in a Proof of Concept with a customer for Jabber for Windows 10.5. They are on Lotus Notes 8.5.3.

When they install Jabber for Windows, they are asked to close down Lotus Notes, before the Jabber for Windows can complete.

In addition they need to restart the PC before Jabber can be used.

What are the experiences with Jabber installs in LN environments?

  Iam sorry i was not able to find any issue that is related to prompting to close lotus notes while installing jabber for windows.

After refering to Jabber and Notes Calendar Authentication what we can see is that in a environment  based upon Notes 8.5.3 and Jabber 9.2 on  Windows 7 desktops and Domino 8.5.3, which was used for the backend. After a basic install each client (Notes and Jabber) requested its own username/password combination to start up.

So i doubt if such a situvation to happern wether there was any previous version of jabber for windows  present which was already got integrated with lotus notes.
