Applying Jabber-config massively

Hi,

I have a problem regarding jabber-config applying, the problem is:

My customer has been using its jabber since one year ago, now we have made some changes in jabber-config to support user photos and other things, after making some tests we noticed we needed to restore jabber in order to apply new configuration, but we have 5000 users using jabber (only jabber app, neither CSF nor other jabber clients).

So I would like to know if there is a service in Presence or CUCM that we could restart, so new jabber-config file applies to everybody.

Thanks,

Hi there

Once you modify the jabber-config.xml file, you need to upload to the TFTP on all nodes and restart the TFTP. Then Jabber clients will be able to download the new xml files.

But there is no way to force logout Jabber clients for accepting new xml file. But you can try restarting XCP router service which will make the jabber to go offline and can be restored when user log out and login back.

Hope this helps!

Cheers
Rath!
