This is a good bug ID explanation but for the initial reason for VSS to have the standby have high memory can BU please link it and have my hunches it's due to multicast PIM on a MPLS network.Reload of the standby on the odd occasions fixes the memor...

Are there any known workarounds to this problem? We have external auto-recovery processes in place but would really love to know what the root cause is.

This issue is not fixed in ASAv. However, status changed to fixed without the known fixed software release.

I called TAC. TAC said my hardware is out of warranty and can't help.

Cisco has set the status of this bug to "fixed."  Yet all of the fixed releases are older releases that didn't contain the bug.  How does this constitute a "fixed" bug in current, up-to-date, and security patched releases?
