We have some Cisco 9500 switches in our network running version 16.6.5 and I'm still getting the error message.
Not sure if anyone else is having the same problem. When you do the work around, something else times out. You work around that and then another item times out??? I logged a call with cisco and while the call was open the new software came out, so I raised a change to upgrade the software and close the incident. Not sure why the documentation is saying this issue is fixed.
