Option 2 of this Bug starts with the following step:
2) Downgrade VMware tools to 10.2.5 or earlier on the ESXi Host and reinstall VMtools via:
What I am having issue with is how do I downgrade VMTools on a CUCM server? I have the 10.2.5 VMTools ISO that can be mounted, but generally, when downgrading software you need to uninstall the newer application first, that does not appear to be possible here so with VOS. What are the correct steps to downgrade VMTools on a UCM server?

I have this same issue. Our CUCM node recently rebooted unexpectedly and it points to this bug. The VM is has VMWare Tools installed but not running and was not running prior to reboot. It is Version10341 (10.3.5). Not sure how this would cause this issue if Tools was not even running prior
