Has anyone navigated this bug and successfully upgraded their CIMC? Is a CIMC upgrade needed to upgrade ESXi, we are currently at 6.0 but want to upgrade to 6.7 u3. Our CIMC is currently at 3.0{4a).
CIMC version that is currently on requires flash to function.
Since Win10 have disabled Flash, see if there is a Win7 machine.
NOTE:
Cisco's documentation of the CIMC upgrade process is incomplete and confusing. It has been at this state since I first read it back in 2016 so I cannot be certain if it is deliberate, however, @Rasika Nayanajith has an easy-to-understand guide to CIMC upgrade (Standalone and HA).
Whoever is going to do the upgrade, do not panic (aka "code brown"): Also absent in any Cisco documentation is the time it takes to upgrade the C220 CIMC. Be prepared for the chassis to be down for 75 to 80 minutes while the CIMC upgrade is in progress.
