Hello Team,
Yesterday I performed the upgrade from version 16.12.05b to 17.9.4.
After upgrade and reboot, four access point turned down.
When I saw the log, I got the following message:
Mar 10 12:30:21: %ILPOWER-5-IEEE_DISCONNECT: Interface Gi1/0/1: PD removed
Mar 10 12:30:22: %ILPOWER-5-DETECT: Interface Gi2/0/1: Power Device detected: IEEE PD
Mar 10 12:30:22: %ILPOWER-5-ILPOWER_POWER_DENY: Interface Gi2/0/1: inline power denied. Reason: insufficient power
I upgraded around 60 switches, with almost the same configuration template, and only one presented this issue.
Before installing the new firmware, the Switch APs were active and providing service normally
At this moment, I'm performing a rollback action to the previous IOS firmware, in the meantime the problem is identified and solved.
I'll appreciate any assistance

All switches may be same, but may be this switch may have more AP and not have enough power ?(may be)
when the AP boots it may required power
check show power inline you have enough power ?

Hello,
It's an stack of two Switches 9300

Only two access point per Swicth stack, (C9115AXI-A), and they were working OK, previous the firmware upgrade.
Note: I performed a roll back, to the previous firmware version, the one working OK before the change, but now the problem persist

what port AP connected before the upgrade took place ? ( gig1/0/1 and 2/01 ?)
can you also share show post (output)
9. ILPOWER POWER DENY
%ILPOWER-5-IEEE_DISCONNECT: Interface Gi1/0/1: PD removed
%ILPOWER-7-DETECT: Interface Gi1/0/1: Power Device detected: IEEE PD
%ILPOWER-5-ILPOWER_POWER_DENY: Interface Gi1/0/1: inline power denied. Reason: insufficient power
This error means that there is not enough power that remains in the switch to supply to the Power over Ethernet (PoE) port.
This is likely due to total inline power greater than available power. Verify power budgeting. Install more power supplies if needed. Adjustment of power supply redundancy from redundant to combined can also help. For stacked systems, stack power can be considered to pool total power across stacks.
