Misunderstood license

Hello , I'm sorry, I have a problem and I'm asking for help... I have a few questions... Is Cisco Business Dashboard free? i.e. you can use up to 25 devices for free? Do I need to buy a license for the software itself?

the next question is about downloading new software to update cbs switches... do I need to buy a license for this or can I just download it from the website and install it on the switch? I'm sorry, but I'm already lost and I'd rather ask than get into trouble

Cisco Business Dashboard (CBD) itself is free. An installation of CBD includes device licenses for up to 25 devices. For any devices in excess of 25, you will need to purchase additional device licenses, so if you have 30 managed devices, you only need to buy 5 device licenses.

You do not need to buy a license to download and install switch firmware. You can simply download it from the website and install it on the switch.
