I am trying to get an embedded probe added to our Cisco Business Dashboard. When going through the add wizard, it tells me that a device with the same PID already exists in the system. This tells me that this specific switch is already managed in the CBD portal, however when I search across all organizations with the only filter being the serial number, no results come up trying to find it. To my knowledge, this device is not managed under CBD at this time. I have rebooted the switch, confirmed the default gateway and DNS settings are correct. I Also made sure the switch is on the latest firmware and the error persists.

Could you let me know on which page you encountered the error? If possible, please attach a screenshot.

After playing around with it some more, we found that we were able to manually enter the CBD database and manually deleted the incorrect record stating the device was present in CBD. After doing this, we were able to resolve the issue.

The device with the same PID and SN already exists, but does not belong to the same organization : “Same product ID + serial number already exists for a device which is not in same network/group”

How did you delete the network? When you delete a network, typically all associated devices should be removed as well.
Please login with Administrator role, navigate the inventory page, make sure to select "All Organizations" and clear any existing filters, then input the serial number as the search filter. This should bring up the device in question. Once you locate the device, proceed to delete it from the inventory.
