C9200 DNA Essentials, 48-port Term licenses in DEFAULT

Dear All,

I have ( C9200 DNA Essentials, 48-port Term licenses in DEFAULT ) and it will be expired this year although it's not use 

my equation is what will happen if it expired?

Hi

 The device is not going to stop working for sure.  You may have problem if you open a TAC and they see that. Probably they will ask you to fix that first.

Hi Elfrido,

When you purchased the C9200 it came with two licenses: DNA Advantage/Essentials or Network Advantage/Essentials. The DNA licenses revolve around features with Cisco DNA Center. The Networking tier licenses are for core functions of the switch. The network licenses are permanent and cannot expire while the DNA Center licenses have a 3/5/7 year length. If you're not using Cisco DNA Center and your DNA license expires then nothing will happen to your switch, it'll continue to push packets and function normally but if you do have a Cisco DNA Center then you'll want to look at remedying the licensing issue so you can continue to take advantage of the feautres you could already be using.

it's still not clear what happens if l.s. DNA Advantage lic expires on the SD-Access fabric switch. Doest anything stop working?

Nothing going to happen as of now to the devices but its compliance issue and  technically once that license expiry triggers the device fall back to essential features as default perpetuals.

Hi,
as you know All Catalyst switches have a perpetual license (which never expires) and a subscription component (which does expire). a perpetual license will work forever, and standard networking features (VLAN, STP, routing, switching, HSRP, stacking, etc.) are perpetual and never expire.
