Cannot access Cisco DNAC GUI (run maglev login first error)

Hello, I cannot get Cisco DNA Center GUI after the installation. I installed using DNAC iso image on ESXI.

Post installation I cannot get the GUI. The ping on configured IP works fine and so is ssh. Nmap scan on the IP reveals the closed http port.

maglev package status throws an error of Run maglev login first . Running maglev -u admin -c (DNAC IP):443 gives me an error of connection refused.

I've tried the installation like 3 times already which took 6 hours. I tried looking at google and reading community forums so far and still out of luck.nmap scan.pngmaglev.pngroute.pngIP details.png

I have 62 core CPU and 250GB allocated for the DNAC VM

Thats the problem I cannot issue that command of maglev package status and maglev catalog package display

I get error of ERROR: Connection details are not configured. Run 'maglev login' first. Then maglev login -u admin - c (DNACIP:443) results in "Connection refused error" which I could not figure out.

I have uploaded couple of pictures on details about it.

How long have you left it to start up post-install? The first startup of the services takes a _really_ long time.

If you can get access to it I would recommend installing the DNAC-VA instead. Will lead to fewer headaches and requires fewer resources. The latest release(2.3.7.3) works great!

It's been 8hours now. I don't have access to 2.3.7.3.

8 Hours should be sufficient. What is the output from the following command?

magctl appstack status -f

Depending on your org you might be able to get access to the virtual appliance. The Catalyst Center VA FAQ says the following about ordering the VA:

Q: How do I order Catalyst Center VA for ESXi?
A: Simply place a $0 purchase order on Cisco Commerce using the Cisco PID: DN-SW-APL. We highly recommend customers order a Cisco support package with this as well. When the “DN-SW-APL” PID is entered into Cisco Commerce (CCW), the support options will be shown along with service descriptions. After placing the order, you will receive a link to download the OVA file for the software. Consult the Catalyst Center VA Ordering Guide for more information.

i used below document and works as expected :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/cloud-systems-management/network-automation-and-management/dna-center/dna-center-va/esxi/2-3-7/deployment-guide/b_cisco_dna_center_2373_on_esxi_deployment_guide.html

I suggest to remove the VM and start with fresh installation.

That indicates that there are no failed/failing services.

Is there any output if you run it without the -f flag?

magctl appstack status

Yes there is couple of output without -f flag

It seems that it hasn't deployed the services at all for some reason. Can you get logs from the mksserver pods?

magctl logs -n maglev-system (pod name)

If that doesn't give you any clues I would try a reboot at this point, and maybe redeploying the mksserver pods.
