Catalyst Center and Infoblox Integration

I recently integrated Infoblox with Cat Center. I have superadmin privileges in Cat Center, but only user rights in Infoblox. I can see the connection established in 360, but I'm unable to import the IPAM server. Do we need admin access to Infoblox for this? Currently, I'm interested in viewing networks, but the import isn't working.

The message I get when trying to import: "Provided CIDR is either already present in Catalyst Center, non-existing or non-empty pool. Enter another CIDR and retrieve again."

Any Suggestions?

The Catalyst Center IPAM integration feature has many uses but it is not as a viewer of what is configured on the IPAM itself.  The purpose is to create IP Pools on the Catalyst Center and then create on the IPAM server and reserve IP address from that pool(s) as the devices or Catalyst Center feature uses.

Note - Software version is 2.3.7.6

Shouldn't I be able to at least view the IPAM Server from Catalyst Center? At this time, I am not interested in creating /deleting a network in IPAM.

@econstas 100% no expert here - the error message does not seem that your issues with admin access, (i would say best way to check this is the logs on infoblox to see if this is being denied)  i took a look at this doc https://docs.infoblox.com/space/nios85/35785758/Administrative+Permissions+for+IPAM+Resources i think (could be way off here, you should be ok) - but a little digging on an old thread

Note: There is a CAVEAT. The IP address Pool(s) on the IPAM server MUST be empty and not in use. No configuration or client use. If the IP address pool(s) do not meet this restrictions, you can not import them.

Not sure if this is one of the same, its four years old.

Will check. Good idea.  My guess the 4yr old discover is still an issue. I did try importing a specific empty network, but not sure if that would include a default-gateway ip address configured. Will check if IPAM logs are seeing the attempt.

that was my responses in the other post and yes it is still a limitation and I had them add that to the guides and why I referenced it above in my screenshots
