Catalyst Center - Recurring Discovery Limit

Cisco Catalyst Center

Version 2.3.7.7-70047

Several sub-packages including Access Control, AI Analytics, et al.

Issue:

There appears to be a limit on recurring discoveries. From what I can see, I cannot have more than five scheduled.

Goal:

I am trying to use the recurrent discovery function to maintain accurate switch inventory company wide at over 100+ sites, worldwide. I would like to have each site running an independent discovery every so often, using an IP address range. The problem now is that I have hit what appears to be an arbitrary limit.

I usually handle this by automating initial configuration wth PNP. This way the switch is added to the inventory on provisioning and ready to be configured if you don't want to do the whole thing in PNP. If you are using an external system for automating configuration you should add devices to inventory as part of that workflow.
