Hi,
I've been trying to set-up Plug-n-Play for a customer and have come across a problem when onboarding switches. The customer has a 'management' vlan and all switches have a Loopback address in this VLAN which is used for switch management.
We'd prefer not to run DHCP on this management VLAN, so have to use another VLAN and Subnet for the Plug-n-Play process. However, it appears once the switch appears in DNAC with the PnP IP address, it stays in DNAC with that IP address.
Ideally we'd prefer to just use the temporary DHCP address for the PnP process, then use a template to set the correct management loopback address on the switch and use this for future DNAC communication. The DHCP address can then go back into the DHCP pool for use again.
We've got the PnP Process working and can deploy a template with the management loopback address with no problem. But DNAC continues to the use the DHCP IP address which was initially used for claiming and provisioning the switch.
Is there a process/workflow to change the IP address used for the switch?? Or do we need to delete and then re-add the switch to the inventory manually once the PnP process has finished?
Any help or guidance gratefully received!
